This was the third issue in the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series that began in 1988. One of life’s great survivors, the cat has adapted to the hazards and pressures of big city life better than practically any other animal – including man. Wolf Wolves Coin And Currency Set 1 Crown and 2 Banknotes All Uncirculated

$24.99

To my knowledge, these are the only two world banknotes that feature wolves, and both of them can be found in this set. The top banknote, a 500 Tolanu piece from Lithuania was issued in 1993 and was withdrawn from circulation after only six weeks. The second banknote was issued by Belarus in 1992 and has a 5 Rublei denomination. Both banknotes are in Crisp Uncirculated condition. The 500 Dinara Crown was issued by Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1994 and has been almost impossible to find in the secondary market. I was fortunate enough to acquire a few pieces from a source in Europe and have included it as part of this group. This beautiful set would be a welcome addition to anyone who appreciates wildlife or collects world coins.

Sierra Leone 2005 Legal Tender Wildlife Crown Giraffe 2005 BU

$16.99

One of the four wildlife crowns issued by Sierra Leone in 2005, this coin has a legal tender value of $1 in its country of origin. Africa has such a diversity of wildlife and so many different species can be seen as emblematic of the continent, but the giraffe has always caused such marvel and is such a singularity, existing no where else in the world. With its long neck (with the same 7 vertebrae as humans) a giraffe can feed from the tops of trees and also drink the morning dew from the upper leaves at their favorite time to feed. They can go for weeks without drinking from any other source. When they do visit a watering hole they have to engage in the awkward endeavor of getting their treetop high heads down below their feet. It’s not just a question of position.Their neck veins contain valves and a network of tiny veins that prevent them from suffering blackouts or vertigo when they lower their heads.

Isle of Man Cat Coins Maine Coon Cat Crown 1993 BU

$19.99

This coin was the sixth issue of what has become the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series, first issued in 1988. Some 150 years ago, American sailors returning to the State of Maine brought home Angoras. With long legs and bodies, and a coat reminiscent of a native raccoon – it has a strange habit of grooming its long tail by spiraling it around a front leg. A popular selection for the 1993 coin. This beautiful uncirculated cat crown from the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series makes a unique gift idea that will please the most discriminating cat lover and has become a favorite of collectors of world coins with animal themes.

Isle Of Man Zodiac Coin Year Of The Tiger 1998 One Crown BU

$19.99

As legend would have it, it was Buddha himself who gave each animal its place in the Asian zodiac. When he called all the animals together following the creation, only twelve felt it necessary to attend the meeting. As a reward for their effort in making the long journey, Buddha offered each of them their own year, which would from then on bear the name of that animal. In addition, each animal was also given the opportunity to directly influence history during that time – and thus, in turn, the fate of those humans born in that year. Analogous to the characteristics of the respective animal symbol, and by means of your date of birth, you too can read those characteristic traits that may – or may not – apply to you. 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998—Tiger people are sensitive, given to deep thinking, capable of great sympathy. They can be extremely short-tempered, however. Other people have great respect for them, but sometimes tiger people come into conflict with older people or those in authority. sometimes Tiger people cannot make up their minds, which can result in a poor, hasty decision or a sound decision arrived at too late. They are suspicious of others, but they are courageous and powerful. Tigers are most compatible with Horses, Dragons, and Dogs.

Gold Plated Color Panda Great Wall Of China 2005

$19.99

One of two very cute and cuddly Panda pieces acquired from a Chinese Mint represented at the ANA Show in San Francisco in 2005. Both the Great Wall and the Panda are uniquely emblematic of China and are considered national treasures. China has effectively used pandas as gifts to foreign zoos to stimulate deeper contacts and improve relations, as their gift of two Pandas to the National Zoo in Washington D.C. proved to be effective during the Cold War. China’s pride in this unique wildlife ambassador is currently now being matched by their efforts to restore the Panda’s threatened population. The latest inventory of the Panda population conducted by the Chinese government found the number of giant panda in the wild has increased from 1,100 in 1988 to more than 1,590 today. The present rapid growth taking place in China now promises both greater interest in these amazing creatures and some new challenges as people’s views of their native habitat change.

Isle of Man Cat Coins Balinese Kittens 2003 BU

$16.99

This coin was the sixteenth issue of what has become the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series, first issued in 1988. The Balinese has a reputation of being very playful with its offspring and adores human company. This cat walks with its tail held erect, its graceful tail plume sways from side to side, not unlike the motion of a Balinese dancer – hence its name. This graceful cat is depicted on the reverse of the 2003 coin. This beautiful uncirculated cat crown from the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series makes a unique gift idea that will please the most discriminating cat lover and has become a favorite of collectors of world coins with animal themes.
