This coin was the first issue of what has become the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series, first issued in 1988. The tailless cat has become a symbol for its homeland, the Isle of Man, and was a natural choice for the first coin of this extremely popular series. The origins of this native Manx cat are steeped in mystery – biblical references abound, as do tales of ship-wrecked felines swimming ashore from Spanish Galleons. Shy but friendly, clever and endearing, the Manx cat has a personality all of its own, as does its coin. This beautiful uncirculated cat crown from the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series makes a unique gift idea that will please the most discriminating cat lover and has become a favorite of collectors of world coins with animal themes.
This coin was the eighteenth issue of what has become the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series, first issued in 1988. The Himalayan has a stocky body type, long hair and the placid temperament of the Persian but with the pointed pattern of the Siamese. The breed is docile and gentle though they do enjoy play. Their coats are long and luxuriant. The reverse of the 2005 coin carries a delightful portrait of a mother and her two kittens. This beautiful uncirculated cat crown from the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series makes a unique gift idea that will please the most discriminating cat lover and has become a favorite of collectors of world coins with animal themes.

Probably the most recognized Polish coin ever minted! I have been able to obtain a few of these coins directly from Poland. One of my best friends has carried one around on his keyring for years! Would make a great gift for that special Pole or world coins collector in your life, even if that happens to be you.
Collies are from Scotland, where they were bred for centuries to help manage flocks of sheep as well as other animals. So impressive is their ability to take complex direction in the task of herding that collie herding competitions will leave the novice spectator in dumb-founded amazement. A trained collie will follow commands communicated by the whistle of its master over large distances and amidst the bleating of great flocks of sheep. Their long hair is an adaptation to the cold Scottish Highland air. This coin is one of a Limited Edition of 250 pieces issued worldwide and comes with a mint-issued presentation case and Certificate of Authenticity.
This is a 2003 Dutch 5 Euro silver coin with Prooflike surfaces in an original Royal Dutch Mint descriptive folder.

ANDORRA – ECLECTIC SIX COIN YEAR SET – 2002 – BRILLIANT UNCIRCULATED — Thematically speaking, Andorra was all over the map when they decided on themes for their 2002 issues. This set consists of six coins: A One Centim coin, KM-176 that features Charlemagne (Charles the Great), a second Centim, KM-177, with a Mountain Goat and a third Centim, KM-178, that depicts Agnus Dei—The Lamb of God. The Two Centim coin, KM-179, shows the Edelweiss flower, native to the mountainous regions of southern Europe, while the two Five Centim coins depict wildlife. KM-180 shows a squirrel on a stump and KM-181 a male capercaillie (grouse) displaying plumage. Neat little six coin set would make a nice addition to any collection of world coins.
The British refer to a horse used primarily for pleasure rides as a “Hack”, although the horse depicted on this crown seems to be a bit spirited for the term Hack. In any event, this beautiful piece would make a nice addition to any collection.
This was the third issue in the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series that began in 1988. New York state’s streetwise Alley cats – celebrated in the popular “Top Cat” cartoon series – are immortalized in loving detail on the reverse of this award winning 1990 coin.
