The Central Bank of China – Shanghai – 5 Dollars – 1930 – Pick 200 – Crisp Uncirculated Banknote – This banknote came out of a group of banknotes still held together by an American Banknote company strap and is in Crisp Uncirculated condition. It bears the portrait of Sun Yat-sen on the front and a temple on the back and was issued by the Central Bank of China in Shanghai in 1930.

The denominations included are: 20, 50, 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 Afghanis. They are listed in Krause’s Standard Catalog of World Paper Money as Pick 56, 57,58, 60, 61, 62 and 63. They come in a hard inert plastic currency holder.
Scotland – Jack Nicklaus – 40 Years of Open History – £5 – 2005 – Presentation Folder – Pick-365 – The front of the Five Pound note is largely the same as the existing Royal Bank of Scotland £5 notes, apart from the fact the “Golden Bear” logo is shown and that the serial number only appears once. In addition all the serial numbers for this commemorative banknote commence with “JWN“, Jack William Nicklaus’ initials. The back of the banknote has been completely redesigned and shows images of Jack holding the Claret Jug and playing a shot during his way to victory at St. Andrews in 1978. The Royal and Ancient clubhouse is depicted on the top left hand portion of the note and in the bottom left, Jack’s winning scores at St. Andrews in 1970 (when he won an 18 hole playoff with Doug Sanders) and in 1978 are depicted. On the bottom right hand side of the note, the tee at the 18th hole can be seen along with the Swilken Bridge. A card of the course for the 2005 Open is also shown. This note is listed in Krause’s Standard Catalog of World Paper Money as Pick 365 and comes in a special presentation folder as issued by the Royal Bank of Scotland in 2005.

Germany – Lithuanian Darlehnkassenschein – 100 Mark – 1918 – Pick R133 – Extra Fine – Darlehnskassenscheine were issued between 1914 and 1922. This banknote, listed in Krause’s Standard Catalog of World Paper Money as Pick R-133, was not backed by gold, but by industrial and agricultural goods. On April 14, 1918 the German “Darlehnskasse Ost” (Eastern Credit Bank) at Kowno (now Lithuanian Kaunas) issued new Mark banknotes (“Kassenschein”) with the front in German and the back in Latvian and Lithuanian.
