These coins are all “sea salvage” and the intent of this offering is to provide a coin that is a genuine and historically significant educational coin, NOT a “collector” specimen. Each coin was selected based on the details on the coins reverse, showing the Pillars of Hercules, the prime distinguishing feature of the “Pillar” dollars. The obverse, showing the image of King Charles the Third (Carolus III), may be completely obliterated.
