The front of this note shows an image of Mieszko I, (ca. 940 – 25 May 992), the ruler of the Poland from about 960 until his death. The first historical ruler of Poland, Mieszko I is considered the de facto creator of the Polish state. Of additional interest to numismatists is the image of a hammered coin on the back of the note.
