This Silver medal has been struck by the Royal Mint to commemorate the 175th anniversary of the Battle of Waterloo. It has been produced from reductions of the original Waterloo medal dies that were engraved by Benedetto Pistrucci between 1819 and 1849. This Waterloo Medal has been struck in sterling (.925) silver by craftsmen of the Royal Mint. It has a diameter of 63 millimeters and an issue limit of only 2,500.
