Germany – City of Berlin – Ten Marks – 1987J – KM-166 – Proof – 750th anniversary of the founding of Berlin. Obverse design shows stylized Berlin Bear as divided city with Berlin Wall demarcation. Bear is holding ancient seal of the city. Reverse design shows uniquely stylized German Eagle composed of masonry as an homage to the divided city. This coin was Germany’s own tribute to the Wall two years prior to it’s fall.
