Russia – 50th Anniversary of Sputnik Orbit – 3 Roubles – 2007 – Proof Silver Crown Three Rouble Sputnik silver crown: The Central Bank of Russia has issued a commemorative coin honoring the 50th anniversary of the launch of Sputnik. Minted from sterling silver, the three ruble coin depicts the first satellite on the reverse. The obverse features a relief image of the Emblem of the Bank of Russia – the two-headed eagle with wings down and the semicircular inscription under it “???? ??????” (BANK OF RUSSIA).
