In 2004, Liberia was the first country to authorize the issue of a legal tender coin with an embedded piece of meteorite, a Ten Dollar silver coin with a piece of the NWA 267 Meteorite found in the Sahara Desert. No one could have predicted that the coin would increase over 1000 percent in value in just a few short years. Since then, multiple countries have issued their own meteorite coins and the collector base for this type of extra-terrestrial coinage is growing daily. We try to keep up with the new issues as they come out, but some issues sell out very quickly and our allocations from the various mints can be very limited. So take a look at our offerings and grab a little piece of numismatic space.

Northwest Africa Sahara Embedded 869 Meteorite Fragment Numbered 2000 Medallic Issue COA

$39.99

The medal, containing an embedded piece of the Chondrite Meteorite NW 869, is 5 centimeters in diameter, weighs 51.1 grams and was struck in high relief. From what I have been able to ascertain, only 1,000 of these pieces were minted and each one was individually numbered.
