The 44,800 gross register tons were powered by four 110,000 horsepower steam turbines which enabled the ship to reach a speed of 27.7 knots. More than 1,500 officers and sailors operated the ship which had a length of 731.25 feet and a beam of 102 feet. This stunning silver crown is the fourth coin issued in this series and was struck from two ounces of .999 silver. Total mintage for this coin was limited to 1,000 pieces.
