When I first started dealing in non-circulating legal tender coins I was amazed to find that over 200 different turtle coins were in existence. Since that time, I’m sure that number has doubled. Whether you are looking for a Sea Turtle from Costa Rica, Palau, Tuvalu or Bermuda, a Soft-shelled Turtle coin from Liberia, a Hawksbill Turtle coin from Australia or an enameled turtle coin pendant from Papua New Guinea, check out the turtle coins on this site and I believe you will be pleased with what you discover.

Collectors of world coins know there are over 200 different coins that feature turtles, and this is one of the most popular. The European pond turtle, Emys orbicularis, is native to Spain, France, northern Italy, southern Germany, Poland, Turkey, Iran, Russia, Morocco and Algeria. Although its appearance varies over its large range, the pond turtle is often easily identifiable because of the pretty, bright yellow or gold speckling present on the dark carapace and skin of many of the juveniles and adults. Would make a great gift for any wildlife, turtle or world coins collector.
