Available now at Black Mountain Coins is a 1883 Liberty nickel. This is one of the 7,474,300 nickels struck in 1883 with out the word “CENTS” beneath the Roman numeral V. The design was amended later that year and “CENTS” remained on the coin’s reverse until 1913 when the Liberty design was discontinued in favor of the Buffalo nickel.
