According to James A. Haxby’s Standard Catalog of Obsolete Bank Notes the Wisconsin Marine & Fire Insurance Company never existed and is listed in his book as WI-740. This contemporary counterfeit note is particularly rare and I have only been able to find (5) examples that have been sold since 2002.
