Stanislaw Wyspianski (1869-1907) was a Polish playwright, poet, painter and architect. Wyspianski was one of the most outstanding and multi-talented artist of his time in Europe. He successfully joined the trend of modernism with themes of Polish history. He wrote many dramas covering crucial moments of polish history. Released in 2004 by the Polish Mint this is the third proof silver crown issued in the Polish Painters series. It carries a 20 Zlotych denomination, is minted from 28.28 grams of .925 silver and is sure to be a hit with collectors of world coins for a long time to come.
