This set is comprised of comprised of ten Brilliant Uncirculated legal-tender Twenty-five Cent Canadian coins that serve as hosts for the following depictions of Antarctic life and scenery in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Discovery of the South Pole by Roald Amundsen on December 14, 1911: South Pole Marker, Memorial Plaque, Penguins, Housing, Iceberg, Map, Roald Amundsen, Pinniped, Mount Vinson and Amundsen at the Pole. Each coin weighs 4.4 grams and is 23.9 millimeters in diameter. Each coin has been treated with an exclusive enameling process that applies the depictions directly to the reverse of the coin.
