[1892-1916] Liberty Head "Barber" Dimes

The Barber Dime, also known as the Liberty Head Dime, was minted from 1892 to 1916. It was designed by Charles E. Barber, the sixth Chief Engraver of the United States Mint. The Barber series also included the Quarter Dollar and Half Dollar coins and are that are also highly collectible. Barber Dimes weigh 2.5 grams and were struck from an alloy that was 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. Each coin, when struck, contained .07234 ounces of pure silver. The coin was minted at the Philadelphia, New Orleans and San Francisco Mints.
