Shiny “nickel” medallic issue with a photo insert of the planet Mars and a specimen of the NWA 2986 Martian meteorite embedded. Each piece measures two inches in diameter and is 4.5 millimeters thick. Attached in a recessed crater on the front of the coin is an authentic specimen of the NWA 2986 Mars meteorite found in Algeria 2006. The back of the coin gives basic information on the fall and is sequentially numbered.
