This beautiful three coin set was a collaborative effort by the Perth Mint and the Royal Australian Mint. One of the silver coins depicts an Echidna, also known as a spiny anteater, belonging to the family Tachyglossidae in the monotreme order of egg-laying mammals. The other silver crown shows the world-famous Sydney Opera House, a multi-venue performing arts centre in the Australian city of Sydney. It was conceived and largely built by Danish architect J. Utzon, finally opening in 1973 after a long gestation starting with his competition-winning design in 1957.
