A Kushan ruler of about 100 C.E. left his name off coinage struck under his authority. Not too long ago he was known as “the nameless king”, “Soter Megas” or “Savior Great”. The empire he ruled extended north from India to Bactria (known today as Afghanistan) and East toward China. Scholars have now discovered that his name was Vima I Tak(to) and place him in the succession of rulers. This magnificent example of coinage from that time period has OUTSTANDING detail. Guaranteed to be genuine and over 1900 years old. This coin comes in a descriptive folder with a Certificate of Authenticity and would make a great gift for any collector of ancient or world coins. PLEASE NOTE: We have several of these pieces in stock and the coin you will receive will probably not be the one in the image.
