As we all know, the internet is a vast, endless repository for information.
We, as [-- login to view link --] , can make this often under-used resource work for us by finding and recording older, soon to be forgotten, coin references.
When a book enters [-- login to view link --] it is no longer under private ownership and is then legally able to be recorded and saved, which is what many sites on the w-eb are doing.
Sites such as [-- login to view link --] , [-- login to view link --] and [-- login to view link --] are great places to begin.
Using these sites, I have been able to find and download (in PDF format) old numismatic texts such as:

Finding some of these books in print would be near impossible, so preserving them is definitely in our best interest as coin collectors.
With every passing year it seems that more and more is left out of coin collecting catalogs. Soon, the only way to find information on some of the older stuff is to either ask an older collector who might recall something about the coin in question or paying ridiculously high prices for a ?speciality? catalog.
The time to start doing this was actually years ago, so do yourself a favor and start now, and please remember, SHARE, SHARE, SHARE!
