Does anyone happen to know where i could purchase an 11 billion mark note from the post WW1 period, i am a sucker for big amounts, and enjoy German history, however i cannot seem to find one of these.

Shocked I will be a very surprised person if you find one of these! I was under the impression that Gustav Stresseman burned all of them to revalue the currency!

i imagine that a few will survive, however you will have to pay an arm and two legs for the remaining ones

i had a quick look around for you, returning retro's favour on slovakia, however i couldn't find any due to the keyword clash of WW1 and mark

Once again, the best way to getone of these is to talk to the experts at auctions and such like, they if anyone does, will know where these things are located

Really you stand little hope, any that exist will be in private collections, and certainly not for sale over the ( - - blocked - - ) even if they were for sale!

The largest denomination on any banknote was on a note issued in 1993 by Yugoslavia when they issued a 500,000,000,000 Dinar banknote. We sell them for $15.00 and will have some posted on this ( - - blocked - - ) next week sometime Smile Thanks for the reminder!

Nice, how much is one yugoslav Dinar? they must be prety worthless, also is that a modern note, or an very old one, obviously fairly old as yugoslavia no longer exists.

Not really, that is just hindsight on an old and defunct currency, very different to the actual value of it when it existed.

I think that there would be some of them still surviving, but it is as hard to find them as a needle from bush.
