Need advice for kid collectors

My Kids collect coins and really ( - - blocked - - ) it. However, they were recently told that there coins had little or no value. They were crushed. Does anyone have advice on how I can help them appreciate what they've collected while helping them to steer them toward more "valuable" collecting in the future?

I'm gathering that collecting coins is much the same as other collections when it comes to personal enjoyment. While much may be said towards monetary value, the excitement and enthusiasm devoted to the task can be immeasurable. Coins are windows into so many worlds.

It?s my belief that the true value of a coin is in the enjoyment it brings you.
I have thousands of coins with values ranging from 25 cents up to?a lot. Some of my favorite ones are relatively inexpensive.
My daughter L-oves collecting world coins with religious depictions on them, regardless of there monetary value.
Maybe you can help the children find a type of coin that they will enjoy without attaching a material value to it.
