I found this awesome site one day. It is mainly a gaming site but it also has some really interesting articles. One of the articles lists some of the most valuable coins.

Check out this coin:

Quote:
Coin: 1943 Copper Penny
Estimated Value: $200,000+

Background: Most circulating pennies at that time were struck in zinc-coated steel because copper and nickel were needed for the the war.

About 40 1943 copper cents are known to remain in existence. They were most likely made by accident when copper blanks remained in the press as production began on the new steel pennies

How to spot it: The easiest way to determine if your 1943 cent is copper (and valuable) is to test it with a magnet. If it sticks to the magnet, it is a steel penny, and not valuable. If it does not stick, then you might have hit the jackpot...have a expert authenticate your coin.

I can not believe there is a penny worth over 200k! That has to be the most valuable penny on earth!

What a fantastic site! Those coins look really rare, how would they go around obtaining that amount of such rare items?

Currency converters are only useful for the lazy or the stupid,. why cannot you just use the rates given to you all the time in the news, the papers and many sites?

Well you know I think it's one of those things with sites like that. I think they just find one fact on a site somewhere and it becomes there point of reference, I doubt that it really even is worth that much. It might be, but I doubt it. That site does have some other really cool things, like the optical illusions. I would check them out, as long as you are in a very solid mind frame. Do not look at them if you are on drugs or anything, unless you want to go insane. Smile

I like the arcade games though, even if they are not the sites own, especially the racing one, a cool mix of microkarts and skidmarks for the amiga

Hmm, the server for the games is to slow, meaning that the game's frame rate is eratic at best, taking all the skill out of all the games (at least the yeti ones)
