Does superimposing a hologram on a coin affect the value?

I don?t have a use for them myself, but Mexico, Canada and the United States (statehood quarters and presidential dollars) have come out with holographic coins that are legal tender.
Would I buy them? Probably not, but I?m sure there are some collectors ready to plunk down their own hard earned legal tender to buy them.
Will it affect the value of the coin? Most of the ones I had seen were selling for $29.99. None of my coin value resources have listings for the category of holographic coins, so only time will tell. Sorry.
