old coin values

Probably the best source for an overall view of every coin ever produced by the United States and its approximate current value is the annual "Official Red Book - A Guide to United States Coins", by R.S. Yeoman and edited by Ken Bressett.

Now in its 61st year of publication, the book is full of color images as well as an enormous amount of historical as well as technical information on every series issued since 1616 through present times.  The book is published by Whitman Publishing, LLC and can be obtained at most coin stores as well as at www.whitmanbooks.com.

Values of coins from countries outside of the United States can be found in one of the many editions of the "Standard Catalog of World Coins" published by Krause Publications of Iola, Wisconsin.  They can be reached via their website at www.krause.com.
