A special colorized effect that was originally developed exclusively for print media is presented for the first time on a legal tender coin. The Octopus can be found in all the oceans worldwide. He has a soft body with a well developed brain (he is known to be intelligent) and 8 long arms (tentacles) with two rows of suckers each. To camouflage himself he changes his skin color and texture so that it resembles his environment. In case of an attack he can scoot backward fast by shooting a jet of water mixed with “black ink“ to escape his enemy. The female Octopus lays up to 100.000 eggs. After 50 days they hatch and swim near the water surface.
