This signed document was presented to Mr. Alvin M. Higgins on June 17th, 1909 by Daniel Nash Morgan, the 19th Treasurer of the United States. Mr. Morgan served in that capacity under President Cleveland from June 1st, 1893 until July 1st, 1897. The note is signed twice on the back by Mr. Morgan as well as bearing his signature as Treasurer on the front. Great two piece set of numismatic Americana!
