The clipper design on the reverse of this coin is an elegant rendering of the reverse of a 1936 5 Zlotych coin which was issued in that year to commemorate the 15th anniversary of Gdynia Seaport. The obverse depicts another Clipper, the training ship Dar Pomorza, which is shown on the reverse of the 1980 20 Zlotych Crown.
