This coin was the nineteenth issue of what has become the Isle of Man Cat Coins Series, first issued in 1988 and the first of the colorized series issued on cards. Exotic Shorthairs are wonderful shorthaired versions of the Persian. They have the same flat face but a short, plush teddy-bear look. The breed is very responsive to humans and human emotions and have inherited their very tame personality and gentle ways from their Persian ancestry. The 2006 coin carries a delightful design of three young kittens.
