Although we don't specialize in United States coinage, from time to time we do obtain some beautiful early American coins. This is one such example, a 1901 McKinley Commemorative Dollar Gold coin. This piece has been authenticated, encapsulated and graded Uncirculated Details (Cleaned) by Numismatic Conservation Services (NCS), the sister company of Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC), one of the country's leading third-party grading services. Although I beleive the obverse of the coin was wiped with some soft cloth at one time, the hairlines are not visible to the naked eye and can only be detected under magnification. The reverse does not appear to have been touched.
