One of the rarest coins ever produced by Great Britain, and a coin much sought after by collectors, is the Una and the Lion five pounds. This was a gold coin from the reign of Queen Victoria that depicted the young queen symbolically leading the British Lion. For those of us that can’t afford one of the gold originals, the British Virgin Islands has authorized the mintage of a legal tender One Dollar Crown. This beautiful coin would be a welcome addition to any collection of world coins.
