One of a series of beautiful world coins depicting the wildlife of Somalia and East Africa. These coins were issued by Somalia in 1998 and have almost disappeared entirely from the secondary market. A similar bimetallic series as well as proof silver version with a 250 Shillings denomination were also produced in the same year. This coin would make an excellent gift for any collector of wildlife or world coins.
