Here's one from the man who would be king (emperor actually). Yuan Shih-Kai was a most ambitious man. A favorite of the Dowager Empress, he was responsible for suppressing the Boxer Rebellion, and then later forcing the abdication of the succeeding Emperor and subsequently forced out China's first president once a republic was declared. Yuan assumed the title but quickly declared himself Emperor. At this he failed and this wonderful example of early 20th century world coinage captures that time of this man's growing aspirations and faltering legacy and would make a great addition to any world coins collection.
