The attached coin is an authentic Roman coin minted between 240 and 410 A.D. Roman coins circulated throughout the Roman Empire, which streched from Britain to the border of Persia. They were minted in vast quantities for everyday transactions and often circulated for long periods of time. Coins were made by hand by inserting a heated metal blank between two dies and striking the upper die with a heavy hammer. The coins are not perfectly round. Most coins featured the head of the Roman Emperor on the obverse. The reverse types are varied reflecting both current concerns, history and mythology. The most common themes are military depicting the dominance of the Roman Army. In an effort to keep the costs of these coins down, the image you see is generic and representative of the coin you will receive, but since we obtain the coins already packaged, the actual coin you will receive will be the one on the next card in the bin.
