This One Crown uncirculated coin was commissioned by the Isle of Man in 2000 to celebrate our great leap into the future. Depicted on it is the International Space Station with one of the United States� shuttle orbiters in a docked position. The International Space Station is the largest and most complex international scientific project ever undertaken. The station is a joint project between The United States, Canada, Japan, Russia, the eleven nations of the European Space Agency, and Brazil. The Space station has a mass of about 1,040,000 pounds, measures 290 feet long and 356 feet across, with almost an acre of solar panels. Comes in a Mint issued red leatherette presentation case as shown in the images.
