This Bull and Horse coin design was used by both Moslem and Hindu rulers over the centuries. The original coins weighed 4.3 grams, but through time the weight drifted downward. Many later issues appeared with the bull on one side and Persian script on the reverse. Balban (1266 - 1287 A.D.) the great Delhi sultan was still issuing coins based on these same designs. Great addition to any collection of world coins.
